Today I announced my intention to run for Kamloops City Council in the 2017 municipal byelection. I have long intended to run in the 2018 election; however, this by-election has presented an opportunity for me to go ahead today. I believe it is important now, more than ever, to have a complete and cohesive council. I decided to run because of having long been proud to live, learn and grow in Kamloops. This city has presented me personally and the people around me with great opportunity and support. I am excited to give back to this city so it can continue to thrive. I was able to announce my run at the historic downtown Federal Building, where I have had the great fortune to help in the establishment and growth of Kamloops Makerspace, an organization that aims to educate and provides resources to the great people of Kamloops. I was joined by a number of people who have been instrumental to my growth personally and as a resident of our city. Those around me today for my announcement have been great providers to our community and have been instrumental in many events, programs, and ventures throughout our community. Thank you all for being there, and all the great support you have provided in the past. My announcement is at the bottom of this page and further ideas and intentions will be added here as this progresses. Thank you all, and please join me in this journey, to help Kamloops grow and thrive.
